1 March 2026 – Our First Erasmus+ Application Completed

Our institution’s first Erasmus+ application has been completed and submitted

Egri Szalaparti EGYMI and Boarding School has reached an important professional milestone: our Erasmus+ working group has successfully prepared and submitted its first international application within the KA122-SCH short-term mobility programme for school education .

The preparation of the application was the result of several months of intensive professional and organisational work, during which our colleagues collaboratively developed the project’s objectives, professional content, and implementation plan. Throughout the process, special emphasis was placed on ensuring that the planned activities support the long-term professional development of our institution, with particular regard to innovation in special education methodology and the exploration of international best practices.

The submitted project focuses on the professional development of teachers. Within this framework, our staff will have the opportunity to participate in international mobility activities, including:

  • professional experience exchange (job shadowing) at a partner institution in Germany,

  • gaining insight into the operation of different types of educational institutions,

  • and adapting international pedagogical practices to our local context.

As part of the project, we also plan to implement two language training courses aimed at improving teachers’ foreign language competences and strengthening international communication. According to the plans, these courses will take place in Malta and Split.

During the preparation phase, we established a professional partnership with a German institution, with which we intend to carry out the planned mobility activities. Even at this early stage, the cooperation has proven to be highly positive and shows strong potential for a long-term professional partnership.

The evaluation of the application is expected by the end of May 2026 . Our institution’s Erasmus+ team looks forward to the results with optimism and hopes that the project will open up new opportunities for the professional development of our teachers and the expansion of our international partnerships.
