17 March 2026 – International Cooperation with the City of Esslingen

Launching an International Partnership with Esslingen within the Erasmus+ Programme

During the preparatory phase of the Erasmus+ project of Egri Szalaparti EGYMI and Boarding School, our institution established a successful professional partnership with the Rohräckerschulzentrum Esslingen (SBBZ für Geistige Entwicklung) in Germany.

Following the initial contact, the two institutions engaged in several rounds of consultation to define the framework, professional content, and implementation conditions of the planned mobility programme. As a result of this joint work, a mutually open, supportive, and professionally inspiring partnership has taken shape.

To strengthen this cooperation, the two institutions signed a joint Letter of Intent, which serves as the foundation for future Erasmus+ collaboration. While the document does not entail any legal obligations, it clearly expresses the partners’ commitment to professional exchange and joint work.

An important milestone in the cooperation was the online professional meeting held on 11 March 2026.During the meeting, participants introduced their institutions, professional profiles, and pedagogical practices. The discussion took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, further reinforcing the strong professional alignment between the partners.

Subject to the successful approval of the application, our institution’s teachers are expected to participate in a professional study visit to Esslingen in spring 2027. As part of the programme, participants will carry out job shadowing activities in several institutions, gaining deeper insight into German special education practices.

The organisation of the visit will be coordinated by the leadership of the German partner institution, providing valuable support for the effective and professionally grounded implementation of the programme.

Even at the planning stage, this cooperation has already yielded highly positive experiences. Both parties are committed to establishing a long-term professional relationship that will contribute to pedagogical innovation, the exchange of international best practices, and the ongoing professional development of our institution.

The Erasmus+ team of our institution looks forward with confidence to the outcome of the application and eagerly anticipates the continuation of this joint work.
